On 24 February 2026, more than 4 000 Grade 12 learners filled the auditorium in Rustenburg for one of the region’s most impactful youth development events: the Rustenburg Career Expo 2026.
The 2025 Annual General Meeting of the Rustenburg Community Development Trust (RCDT) was a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when governance, vision and community purpose work together.
Held in Rustenburg, the AGM brought together trustees, stakeholders, partners and community representatives to reflect on the past year’s achievements and outline the Trust’s strategic priorities moving forward.
The meeting highlighted:
- Measurable impact across key development pillars
- Responsible financial stewardship and transparent reporting
- Strengthened partnerships within the Rustenburg community
- Continued focus on sustainable, community-driven initiatives
Reports presented at the AGM reinforced RCDT’s commitment to accountability and structured development investment. Rather than pursuing short-term interventions, the Trust continues to prioritise long-term solutions that address real needs in practical and measurable ways.
A standout moment of the evening was the unveiling of RCDT’s refreshed Corporate Identity, a symbolic and strategic step forward for the organisation.
Stakeholder engagement saw meaningful dialogue around collaboration, scalability and future development priorities. This reflected confidence in the Trust’s leadership and optimism about the road ahead.
The AGM was not simply a statutory requirement. It was a reaffirmation of purpose.
As RCDT moves into the next phase of its growth, the message from AGM 2025 is clear:
The foundation is strong. The governance is sound. The vision is focused.
And the commitment to “Making a Lasting Difference, One Project at a Time” remains unwavering.
