On 24 February 2026, more than 4 000 Grade 12 learners filled the auditorium in Rustenburg for one of the region’s most impactful youth development events: the Rustenburg Career Expo 2026.
With 30 exhibitors representing universities, TVET colleges, training providers and industry leaders, the Expo created a powerful platform for learners to explore what lies beyond matric.

A Theme That Set the Tone

Unleashing Young Talent to Better Our Communities”,the day focused on more than career options; it centred on purpose.
Learners engaged directly with exhibitors, gaining insight into study pathways, funding opportunities, scarce skills and the realities of various industries.
When thousands of learners begin to see themselves not just as job seekers but as future contributors to their communities, something shifts.

Thirty Exhibitors. Countless Possibilities.

The Expo brought together a diverse mix of institutions and organisations, ensuring learners were exposed to both academic and skills-based pathways. From higher education to technical training and entrepreneurship, the message was clear:
There is more than one way to build a successful future.
For many learners, this was their first opportunity to speak face-to-face with representatives who could answer specific questions about entry requirements, bursaries and career prospects. That direct access transforms uncertainty into direction.

Collaboration That Matters

The success of the Expo reflects the strength of partnerships among community stakeholders, educational institutions and corporate partners. By working together, we created a space that prioritised access, information and empowerment at scale.
More than 4 000 learners walked in with curiosity. They walked out with options.
