The Operational Team of the Rustenburg Community Development Trust (RCDT) is responsible for implementing the Trust’s programmes and ensuring that community development initiatives are delivered effectively and responsibly. Working closely with community stakeholders, partners and beneficiaries, the team manages projects, oversees resources and drives initiatives that support sustainable development and meaningful impact across Rustenburg’s local communities.
OPERATIONAL TEAM
Thato Motsuenyane – Operations Manager
Ms Thato Motsuenyane was recently appointed as the Operations Manager of the Rustenburg Community Development Trust (RCDT). In this role, she oversees the operational implementation of the Trust’s development programmes, ensuring that initiatives are delivered efficiently, effectively and in line with the organisation’s mandate to foster sustainable socio-economic development across Rustenburg communities. She plays a pivotal role in coordinating project execution, monitoring performance and ensuring that programmes achieve meaningful outcomes for beneficiaries.
Before joining RCDT, Ms Motsuenyane gained extensive experience in local economic and enterprise development within the Rustenburg region. She worked on initiatives aimed at empowering communities through entrepreneurship, skills development and inclusive economic growth. At RCDT, she collaborates closely with project teams, development partners and community stakeholders, bringing a hands-on approach to operational leadership. Her dedication to building strong relationships and ensuring accountability has positioned her as a key driver in transforming the Trust’s strategic vision into tangible impact for the communities it serves.
Mr Katleho Thinane – Head of Projects
Mr Katleho Thinane is a seasoned Project Manager with more than five years of experience leading complex infrastructure and development projects. Formerly serving as Operations Manager at the Rustenburg Community Development Trust, he now heads the Trust’s Projects division, where he is responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery of initiatives that translate strategic priorities into real, lasting benefits for local communities. His leadership ensures that projects are executed efficiently, on time and in alignment with RCDT’s broader mission of socio-economic upliftment.
Katleho’s expertise encompasses end-to-end project management, contracts administration, client liaison and on-site supervision. Over the years, he has successfully managed high-value projects while collaborating with notable organisations including Anglo American Platinum, Tshikululu and Joy Global. With a strong focus on agriculture, enterprise development and community empowerment projects, he combines technical proficiency with a commitment to people-centered development. Katleho is dedicated to creating sustainable livelihoods and strengthening local economies, ensuring that the Trust’s programmes have a measurable and enduring impact in Rustenburg’s communities.
Ms Dorah Padi – Office Administrator
Ms Dorah Padi serves as the Office Administrator at the Rustenburg Community Development Trust (RCDT), providing critical administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth functioning of the organisation. She manages core administrative processes, facilitates communication across departments and supports project teams in implementing development programmes efficiently and effectively. Her meticulous attention to detail and organisational skills are essential in maintaining the Trust’s operational excellence.
In addition to her day-to-day responsibilities, Ms Padi plays a key role in maintaining organisational systems, coordinating meetings and ensuring that internal processes align with the Trust’s strategic objectives. Her work provides the foundation that enables the Trust’s projects to run seamlessly, from inception to execution. By supporting both staff and stakeholders, Ms Padi contributes directly to the organisation’s ability to deliver meaningful outcomes, making her an indispensable member of the RCDT team and a driving force behind the Trust’s mission to promote sustainable community development in Rustenburg.
