The Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA) is responsible for supporting skills development in South Africa’s mining and minerals sector. It works to improve training, education and career opportunities that strengthen the industry and support economic growth.
Through the Mining Qualifications Authority, programmes such as learnerships, bursaries and training initiatives help develop skilled professionals, aligned with the goals of the National Skills Development Plan 2020–2030.
