Our Vision

To Contribute towards sustainable community upliftment through mining, and beyond mining. To further enhance a sustained and diverse socio-economic development in local communities through active participation and development partnerships. Successful achievement of this vision would be defined by the following characteristics, and form a basis for Key Performance Areas (KPAs):
• Self-determination in terms of development and plan for priorities, funding and decision making
• Producer and consumer of goods, not just a consumer
• Skilled citizens that access employment and entrepreneurial opportunities
• Citizens able to adapt to changing social and economic circumstances
• Mobile citizens – able to move around quickly in the region and send/receive information

Our Mission

This is to be understood in the context of what the Trust Deed outlines as the purpose of the Trust in clause 5.1 that: “The primary objects of the Trust shall be to carry out Public Benefit Activities through community development for poor and needy Beneficiaries, including the promotion of community-based projects relating to self-help, empowerment capacity building, skills development and anti-poverty measures, undertaken by the Trust on a non-profit basis and with an altruistic or philanthropic intent”.

Our Strategy

Our primary directive is to carry out Public Benefit Activities through community development for our beneficiaries. We strive to play a role as a development facilitator, and agent in the Trust’s benefit area by contributing towards leading the development aspirations and achievements of the communities.
